• Training and Qualifications •

Quincy are traditinally trained in the use of their abilities from a young age by their families. The Order builds upon this training, with classes held at Hirin Hall (located under the local dojo) and the Ishida Family Training Grounds, under the family hospital.

Quincy have their own set of disciplines, namely:

Waffen: The use of weapons in battle. Most Quincy are trained in archery and use the Quincy Bow, but others prefer to use other types. Waffen refers to the use of both reishi constructs and regular weapons.

Seele Konstrukt: The practice of creating weapons from and manipulating reishi, and the primary combat ability of the Quincy.

Hirenkyaku: The art of moving at high speeds, and a direct analog of Shunpo.

Aktionsplan: The art of building coherent and effective strategies in battle and thinking on one's feet. For Quincy, who are less durable than the beings they fight, knowing how to exploit the enemy's weaknesses is key to victory.

• Rules and Structure •

The actions of the Quincy concerning hollows are governed by the Soul Pact, a document drawn by the five Angesehen families and the Gotei's captain-commander at a time when the Quincy and Shinigami were near war.

---It is against the pact for a Quincy to kill a Hollow. Hollows must be incapacitated and a shinigami called to dispose of them. Exceptions may be made for certain urgent cases.
---It is against the pact for a Quincy to kill a Shinigami.
---It is against the pact for a Quincy to enter the Soul Society without summons.
---It is against the pact to interfere with a shinigami's work.
---If summoned, It is against the pact to remain in the Soul Society for longer than business requires.

Breaking the tenets of the Soul Pact places all Quincy at risk; there are shinigami who would not hesitate to eradicate them.

Quincy are also bound by the laws of the human world. The loose structure of the order means that there are few rules outside these, but all Quincy are expected to maintain respect for their superiors and keep a close eye on the hollow activity in their area.
