Appearance: Maria is a young adult arrancar in appearance, short (about 5' 4") and thin with pale skin and shining silver hair. Her eyes are a dark red, and her mouth is usually turned in a disapproving frown. 

Personality: The voice of reason to Valon's flighty and particularly scatterbrained leadership, Maria tends toward responsible and lucid decisions and tries to keep the man who is ostensibly her leader (and perhaps something of a father figure) from making a total ass of himself. She's generally level headed and calm, even under stress, and her thinking is focused on the practical. She doesn't take well to strangers, preferring the company of those already familiar to her, and often her reactions read as emotionless because they tend to be incredibly understated--when someone else would express glee, she reacts with a bare smile. Annoyance for her is expressed with faint sighs and stoic silence. Learning to read her is something that has to be practiced, but it's far from impossible to figure out what she's feeling.
